Permalinks(permanent links) are the permanent URLs for your website pages and posts. 

You can change the URL structure as per your website type. It is very important to set the permalink for the new website. 

Follow the below steps to change the URL structure,

1. Log in to your website WordPress admin area.

2. Go to Settings -> Permalinks as shown in the below image. 

                                                    

3. Choose the structure that suits your website and click "Save Changes".
