8 Things to Remove From Your Website
In this video, Neil Patel shared 8 things to remove from your website immediately if you want to rank on Google.
Outdated content
All the content on your website should be updated because Google always prefers fresh content.
Thin content
All the pages on your website should offer some value. If you think the page doesn’t offer value, either you want to make more valuable by updating some content or redirect to other pages.
Excessive or irrelevant ads
You want to make sure the ads must be nice, not too crazy in its look & importantly they’re not distracting the user.
Automatically generated content
Create content that provides the best experience not just from the perspective that is not automated. go to Ubersuggest, type in the keyword that you’re looking for to rank for and write about. On the right side, you’ll see all the pages that rank on the top, the backlinks they have, the social shares, and their domain score which helps you to understand about what users like as well as what Google likes.
Intrusive popups or interstitials
You want to save the popups as an exit popup. If you have lead magnets, you can promote it within your content, a top of the article, a bottom of the article. It’s still a way to collect leads without being intrusive.
Irrelevant internal links
You should be very careful while choosing internal links. It must be relevant to the page that users are going to read.
Duplicate content
The content that you’re writing must be unique. It should not the same piece of content that was already written.
