Refund Policy
This Refund Policy explains the conditions under which refunds may be issued for products and services purchased from SeekaHost (“SeekaHost”, “we”, “our”, or “us”).
By purchasing any product or service from SeekaHost, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to this Refund Policy together with our Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy, and Acceptable Use Policy.
1. General Refund Principles
1.1 Refund eligibility is determined by SeekaHost acting reasonably and in accordance with this Refund Policy, the Terms & Conditions, applicable laws, operational circumstances, fraud-prevention requirements, and the nature of the service purchased.
1.2 Refunds are not guaranteed unless expressly stated within this Refund Policy.
1.3 Only one refund may be granted per product, service, order, or customer account, unless otherwise approved by SeekaHost in writing.
1.4 The relevant product or service must first be formally cancelled through the SeekaHost client area or by written request before any refund can be considered.
1.5 SeekaHost reserves the right to refuse refunds where there is evidence of:
- abuse of the refund policy,
- repeated refund requests,
- fraudulent activity,
- excessive resource usage,
- malicious activity,
- violation of our Terms & Conditions or Acceptable Use Policy,
- attempts to obtain temporary services without genuine commercial intent.
1.6 Refund eligibility immediately ceases if any product or service is suspended, restricted, investigated, or terminated for a Valid Cause.
2. Definition of Valid Cause
For the purpose of this Refund Policy, “Valid Cause” includes, but is not limited to:
- violation of the Terms & Conditions;
- breach of the Acceptable Use Policy;
- spam activity;
- phishing activity;
- malware hosting or distribution;
- abusive or excessive resource usage;
- hacking attempts or network abuse;
- fraudulent activity or suspicious transactions;
- copyright infringement;
- unlawful content or activities;
- payment disputes or chargebacks;
- activities that compromise the stability, security, integrity, or reputation of SeekaHost or its infrastructure providers.
SeekaHost retains sole reasonable discretion in determining whether a Valid Cause exists.
3. Payment Currency and Processing
3.1 All refunds are processed in either Pound Sterling (£ GBP) or United States Dollars ($ USD), depending on the original transaction currency and payment method.
3.2 SeekaHost shall not be responsible for:
- currency conversion fluctuations,
- exchange rate differences,
- intermediary bank charges,
- international transfer fees,
- payment processor deductions,
- credit card charges,
- PayPal fees,
- taxes or withholding charges applied by third parties.
3.3 Any applicable transaction fees, processing charges, gateway charges, administrative fees, or non-recoverable costs may be deducted from approved refunds.
4. Refund Methods
4.1 Approved refunds may be issued:
- to the original payment method; or
- as SeekaHost account credit,
at SeekaHost’s reasonable discretion and subject to fraud prevention requirements, payment processor limitations, and applicable laws.
4.2 Purchases made using SeekaHost account credit, promotional balances, or internal credits are refundable only as account credit.
4.3 Refunds generally require between 7 and 14 Business Days to process, subject to payment processor timelines.
5. Non-Refundable Products and Services
Unless expressly stated otherwise, the following products and services are non-refundable:
5.1 Domain Names
This includes:
- domain registrations,
- renewals,
- transfers,
- restorations,
- redemption fees,
- registry fees,
- premium domains,
- backorders,
- domain-related add-ons.
Domain-related fees become non-recoverable immediately once submitted to the applicable registry or registrar.
5.2 SSL Certificates
All SSL certificate purchases, issuances, renewals, and installations are non-refundable once processed.
5.3 Email Hosting Services
Private email hosting services, business email hosting services, and related mail products are non-refundable once activated.
5.4 Promotional and Discounted Services
Services purchased:
- during promotional campaigns,
- special events,
- exclusive offers,
- clearance sales,
- custom pricing arrangements,
- or with discounts of 30% or greater,
may be designated as non-refundable.
5.5 Renewals
Renewals of hosting services, domains, SSL certificates, licenses, email services, and related subscriptions are non-refundable once renewed.
Customers remain responsible for managing renewal settings and cancellation requests prior to renewal dates.
5.6 Setup, Migration, and Administrative Services
The following are non-refundable once work has commenced:
- migration services,
- setup fees,
- manual configuration,
- technical administration,
- custom support work,
- consultation services,
- dedicated onboarding services.
5.7 Resource Abuse and Service Usage
Refunds may be denied where substantial service usage has occurred, including but not limited to:
- excessive bandwidth usage,
- abnormal CPU usage,
- bulk email activity,
- abusive storage usage,
- large-scale resource consumption,
- excessive support demands,
- spam complaints,
- abuse investigations.
6. Web Hosting Refund Eligibility
Eligible shared web hosting packages may qualify for a refund only where all of the following conditions are met:
- the refund request is submitted within 7 calendar days of the original purchase date;
- the product was not purchased under a non-refundable promotion or discount;
- the account has not violated the Terms & Conditions or Acceptable Use Policy;
- substantial resource usage has not occurred;
- the service has not been suspended or terminated for Valid Cause.
7. Service Delivery Clarification
7.1 A product or service shall be deemed delivered once any of the following has occurred:
- account credentials have been issued;
- activation confirmation has been sent;
- service access has been provided;
- hosting access has been enabled;
- domain registration has been submitted;
- infrastructure resources have been allocated.
7.2 Use of the service after activation constitutes acceptance that the product or service has been delivered substantially as described.
8. Delay or Failure of Delivery
A refund may be considered where:
- SeekaHost fails to deliver the purchased service within a reasonable timeframe; or
- the purchased service cannot be provisioned due to technical or operational limitations attributable solely to SeekaHost.
Refund requests based solely on misunderstanding of product specifications, incompatibility with third-party software, customer technical limitations, or failure to review product features are not eligible.
9. Suspensions and Terminations
No refund shall be issued where services are suspended, restricted, investigated, or terminated due to:
- Terms violations,
- abuse complaints,
- malware activity,
- security risks,
- legal complaints,
- payment disputes,
- fraudulent activity,
- operational risks,
- infrastructure protection measures.
Temporary service interruptions, security mitigations, abuse investigations, or emergency operational actions do not automatically create refund entitlement.
10. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
10.1 Customers agree to first attempt to resolve any billing concern directly with SeekaHost before initiating any chargeback, payment dispute, reversal, or claim with a payment provider.
10.2 Initiating a chargeback or payment dispute may result in:
- immediate suspension of services,
- account restrictions,
- termination of services,
- denial of future services.
10.3 SeekaHost reserves the right to recover:
- chargeback fees,
- administrative costs,
- legal expenses,
- dispute handling fees,
- collection costs,
- recovery costs,
to the extent permitted by applicable law.
11. Fraud Prevention and Verification
11.1 SeekaHost reserves the right to request identity verification, address verification, payment verification, or supporting documentation where transactions are flagged for fraud-prevention review.
11.2 Failure to provide requested verification within the specified timeframe may result in:
- cancellation of the order,
- suspension of services,
- denial of refunds,
- termination of the transaction.
12. International Customers
12.1 SeekaHost provides services internationally; however, refund eligibility may vary depending on:
- payment processors,
- local laws,
- technical limitations,
- registry restrictions,
- infrastructure availability.
12.2 Customers are responsible for any local taxes, banking charges, currency conversion fees, withholding taxes, or international transaction costs.
13. Limitation of Refund Rights
Nothing in this Refund Policy shall:
- guarantee uninterrupted services,
- create service-level guarantees,
- override the Terms & Conditions,
- affect statutory rights that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.
14. Policy Changes
SeekaHost reserves the right to modify or update this Refund Policy at any time.
The applicable version shall be the version published on the SeekaHost website at the time of purchase.
